SayJ and I are both native Kentuckians. She was born in KY, so she is considered a domestic adoption. We do bleed blue...GO UK WILDCATS! We became a family in June 2016 a few hours after Saylor-James was born. I will talk about what led to my adoption & the actual journey in one of my early blogs (so stay tuned). SayJ is my only child....for now...I am wanting to add to our family very soon! I am the oldest of 6 with 10 nieces & nephews.
I have had a professional career primarily in corporate and am now venturing out on my own with a project management & consulting business among a few other things like starting this blog and more I hope to share soon. I left KY in my mid 20's to travel & live in other countries for work. These travels took me to India, Latin America and to Europe. I loved exploring the world, other cultures and ways of life.
SayJ & I love the outdoors and exploring new things. She is very active and is always on the go. SayJ is extremely creative & artistic - she loves to express herself with singing, dancing and performing. She is very smart...yes, I am probably a bit biased but others have said it to, so that makes it legit...right?
We love to spend time with our family & friends. SayJ's besties are her 7 year twin cousins - Kegon & Kadon...they reference each other as brothers & sister. It is the cutest thing to see them together.
In closing, as I stated on my Home page, I am committed to not just being a voice of change but a person of action. I will be transparent with the good, the bad and the worse; with my experiences, what I need understanding of, etc. I don't shy away from the tough topics or questions and I pray you will not either. Until we talk about it how can we offer a different way or perspective that may have a heart changing impact on someone?
Chat soon....
